3S Industries: Solar group expands in Asia

Lyss, 4th May 2009. The 3S Industries Group, world leader in production equipment for the
manufacture of solar modules, continues to expand on an international scale and is establishing subsidiaries in Hong Kong and Singapore, as well as an office in Kunshan (China). The solar group’s existing and new customers will benefit immediately from shorter channels and direct customer care locally. The solar group’s three companies, Somont, 3S Swiss Solar Systems and Pasan will also present themselves jointly for the first time at the Third SNEC PV Power Expo, currently the industry’s most important trade fair in China, at booth T636C in hall E6. Visitors to the trade fair can learn about the latest developments in stringing, laminating and testing and find out about the turnkey production lines provided by 3S.

The 3S Group’s increased activities in Asia are a step forward in its steady development on the
international market stage. “Up until now we’ve primarily delivered to the very high demand in Europe because of a capacity bottleneck. Now we are concentrating more on the American and Asian markets, where large growth is predicted,” says Patrick Hofer-Noser, CEO of 3S Industries AG.
